One of my goals for 2010 was to try to cook 10 new recipes. Last night, I tried recipe #1 from SparkPeople's recipe site SparkRecipes.
I tried Mama's Red Beans and Rice (Chef Meg's Makeover). I did tweek some of the ingredients. I used lean group turkey instead of turkey sausage and I cooked the rice separately and then added it in later. Steve and I both enjoyed it and have decided it's a keeper... it's gone into my cookbook! YEAH! 1 down, 9 to go :) WHOO HOO
